"Body and Soul," the Fox Movietone drama, which .will open to-day at,the Crystal Palace, will serve to introduce Elissa Landi, beautiful European fltar, to Christchurcli. J\o actress from abroad baa ever gone to America acclaimed in the flattering terms that accompanied Miss Landi. New York critics, too, have added their united endorseluonfc of this beautiful and taionted girl. Charles Darnton, in the "New York Evening World," said of her: "An English actros<3, Elissa Landi, achieved-a beautiful, courageous, and truly moving performance. Robert Coleman stated in the "Daily Mirroi": "Elissa Landi, an English importation, made a most auspicious debut. She has boauty, poise, polish." Said Baird Leonard in "Life": "When-it comes to Elissa Landi, words fail me. She is the loveliest creature you will see in many a season." No critic overlooked lie#.
