FREEZING WORKS AWARD.
AMENDMENT SOUGHT. (MIJBSS . ASSOCLLTIO* TBtISRAM.) WELLINGTON, June 25. Amendments to their award and revibed wages are being sought by the freezing companies of the Dominion before the Conciliation Commissioner (Mr P. Hally). The workers have filed claims for improved conditions and an increase in wages. The proceedings are bcmg taken in committee, but Mr Hally. says that, as a result of tWo days' deliberations, a good deal of progress has been made on the lines of the existing award, • and it, was" expected that an agreement would be reached on p6ints other than wages.
