BOARD. * SELWYN HUTS AREA. The Springston Soutli Domain Board met yesterday morning, Mr E. J. Harris presiding. Others present wcro Messrs E. H. Howell, C. N. C. Powell, P. J. tie la Cour, F. W. Woodward, and W. Stewart; (Commissioner of Crown Lands). A letter was received from the gelwyn 1 Hut Owners' Association objecting to ! the proposed subdividing of the horse paddock at the huts on the grounds that the paddock was a necessary firebreak. The letter pointed out that as a fair number of huts were being offered for sale subdivision was unnecessary. A recommendation was received from the Grounds Committee that to avoid ar occasional' water shortage another 'one-inch pipe should be run through the settlement in order to avoid future comThe general meeting was then adiourned for a fortnight, and the annual meeting held, decisions regarding the subdivision and the water-pipe being held over. , . At the annual meeting Mr Hams was re-elected chairman, and Mr de la Cour deputy-chairman. The following committees were elected:— > Finance: The chairman, Messrs de la Cour, Stewart, Woodward, and G. McBoan' Grounds: The chairman, Messrs S. F. Barnett, Powell, Bowell, and Stewannual report and balance-sheet vrere received and adopted.
