*\ FATAL INJURIES.
KNOCKED DOWN BY CAB. When lie was knocked over by a car in. Harcwood road on- Saturday evening,, Robert DalmoV, a married man, aged 56, of 70 St. James avenue, Papanui, received injuries from which he died ia the Public Hospital late lost night. The accident happened at about 6.30 o'clock. Dalmcr, it is stated, was pushing p bicycle, on which ho was carrying a bag of wood on the handle-bars. He had another bag on the back of the bicycle. It is understood that Dalmer had no light on the machine, and was on the wrong side of the.>road, so that the motorist did not have timo to stop after first steeing hira. An inquest, will be hold to-day. ' FOOTBALLERS HURT. \ While playing football for Linwood at Hagloy I'ark, G. Northoote, of 19 Caledonian received injuries Ho his knee * and ankle, and was treated at the out-patients' department of the Chrisfcchurch Public Hospital. T. Campbell, of* 481 Manchester street, received-concussion whilo play* ing.for Training College at Lancaster Park, and was admitted to the Hospital. , E. Huston, of 28 Winchester street," Lyttplton, was also treated at the outpatients' department after he. hiad injured his' left ankle while playing hockey for 'Varsity at Hagley Park.
