METHVEN CLUB. The monthly meeting' of the committee ot the Methven Trotiing Club was held on Wednesday evening. Sir T. S. Harrison presided, and thero were also present Messrß J. Campbell, S. O, Holmes, T. Maguire, 11. D. Millar, F. S. McDonald, J. Dowling, B. Green, J. McCloy, J. H. McKendry, W. J. Bennett, T. Forrest. A Vote of sympathy was passed to the relatives of the late Mr C. T. Jessep and Mr Jesse Stone. The New Zealand Trotting Association forwarded a cheque for £8 Us, being amount of outstandnig nominations and acceptances collected, less the usual charge for collecting. The secretary advised that the manager of the Bank of New Zealand, Methven, was desirous of the club reducing its overdraft limit. It was decided to arrange for a re» duction by £2OO. Mr Reynolds advised that he would be installing the starting machine at once, and Messrs S. G. Holmes, J. Dowling, and J. MoCloy were appointed to supervise the work.
