Corßett) was charged with driving loose cattle through the City during prohibited hours on February 25th. Mr Corbett said that Taylor had failed to alte? his clock. Driving without a license—-Noel O'Kane Hobbs, 5s and costs; Daniel Everitt Stribling, 20s and Costs, " Parking a motor-car at night without three lights—Edward John Quaid. 5s and costs; Adolphus Johnson, 10s and costs; Ivan Wilfrid Nilsson, 53 and costs. For cutting a corner, Alphonsus McCormack (Mr T. Milliken) was ordered to pay costs, a charge of failing ,to signal a turn being dismissed, - For driving a motor-cycle at a dangerous speed, Rodney Naylor was fined £2 and costs. For driving in a manner dangerous to the public, James Gordon Dysart (Mr R. Twyneham') was fined £3 and costs. LBESTON. (Before Mr H A. Young, S,M.) .DEBT CASES. Judgment was given- for plaintiffs by default in the following cases:—J. Stafford (Mr A. S. Niebolls) v. O. Johnson, £2 2a; J. Robb (Mr A. S. Lyons) v. C Cosgrovo. £a 58 lOd. POSSESSION AND RENT. G. Hannaford (Mr A. S. Nicholls) proceeded against Dennis Treves far the possession of . a tenement at Lakeside and for arrears of rent Counsol. stated that defendant had given up possession since proceedings were, instituted. Judgment was given for plaintiff for £26 Bs. and Costs amounting to £3 Ba. JUDGMENT SUMMONSES. W 3. Woods was ordered to pay £ll ©s forthwith to E. J. S. Lochhead 'Mr Lyons), in default 13 days' imprisonment. - An application for. an order under a judgment for wages, J. Gallagher (Mr Lyonal v. Doyle Bros. (Mr Nicholls), which had been adjourned from the previous sitting, was further adjourned for two months, to ascertain whether the claim could be met ««t of harvest proceeds. MAINTENANCE. In a claim against F Mackle for arreara amounting to la 2d under a maintenance order,. defendant was convicted and sen-: tenced to a month's imprisonment ' the warrant to be suspended so long aa the :I&fondant met the arrears by monthly instalments at the rate of £1 per we«k, the first payment to be-made on.April 24th.
