ATTEMPT ON SKATING RECORD.
Three men, Tony' Isemonger, I-en Blackburn, ■ and' Laurie 7 Hart, started an attempt to break the" -endurance skatmg record^ AT the Olymfsia Skating Rink- at 10.20 >o^clock. on Wednesday evening. Each one under • the - conditions*. te J' minutes every a*hoorSr-tfc or change his skates. The three ent:rants had their first-: break a,t 1; l-1.4.f> evenine and afterwards' started again, ap plrentfy quite fresh. To break the record 681 hours, it Will be necessary for them to continue skating until 6:30 . p.m. to-mogow* It is estimated that they are averagmg seven miles ail hour, so if they break the recoru they will have travelled nearly 500 miles.
