SCOTTISH SOCIETY'S CONCERT.
GATHERING OF CLANS.
: With sprigs of -Highland heather adding, to the customary enthusiasm shown, byvScots-;: men in concerts; of their national music, Christchurch members of the Scottish Society met -at their rooms 'last: evening - for '.'the twenty-ninth annual gathering of the clans. The occasion is one when as many as possible of the Society's members attend, and special concerts are. given. . The hall was fully packed last evening,-the-Society's chief, Mr A. A. McLachtan, extending a welcome -to many visitors from the country districts. - The programme, which was much appreciated by thosfe present, comprised selections by the Scottish Society's Pipe Bond, Highland reels, flings and dances by' Misses 11. AValton, R. Belmer, J. Dickson, R. Camp-; bell. C. Walker, and B. Dickson: song* by MacGilliviray and Ijodsham. Miss H. Wood, Messrs li. Cartipbell. ;J.
