ELLESMERE DIAMOND JUBILEE SHOW.
A total of 1861 entries has been received for the EUesmere Agricultural and Pastoral Association's Diamond Jubilee Show, to be held next Thursday at Leeston. This constitutes a record, the previous highest totals being 1357 last year and 1340 in 1920, the golden jubilee year. There are substantial increases in both sheep and cattle. Following is a table showing the derailed figures for the last three years:—
The following were the totals for eight previous vears:—l92o (Golden Jubilee), 1340; 1921, 1176; 1922, 1141} 1923, 1057; 1924, 991; 1925, 1141; 1926, 1250; 1927, 1206.
