STREET DAY APPEAL.
The street day appeal at Lytteltorr on Friday in connexion with the local Plunket Society proved a complete success, the funds benefiting considerably by the effort. CANTERBURY OFFICERS' CLUB.
The popularity of the monthly- dances held by the Canterbury Officers' Clhb, far from, waning as the season progresses, seems to increase with each successive gathering. The dance held on Saturday night injjie Club's rooms in Worcester - street, was a great success, the guests dancing happily to the music of Seymour's Orchestra. Amongst those present were Colonel H. OLD GIRLS' ASSOCIATION
A number of ex-pupils of the Avousido Girls' High School gathered at the school in response to an invitation by the Lady Principal (Miss K. Gresson). The of. this meeting was to form an Old Girls' Association so that past pupils might keep up, to a certain extent, the comradeship of school days. It was decided to form such an association and officers were elected as follows: President,- Miss K. Grtssonr vice-presidents, Misses J. McKeo and N. Wagstaff; honorary secretary. Miss A. Dacre; honorary treasurer. Miss J. Howie; committee, Misses K. Browne, L. Evans, M. Orr, O. Clark, J. Peat, and M. AUard. After afternoon tea had been served by the prefects of the school, the visitors were shown over the fine new school buildings. Any past pupils who wish to join the association are asked to communicate with Miss Ada Dacre r 20 Linwood avenue.
