"ONLY THE BRAVE w A delightful programme has been secured for presentation at the Begent Theatre this week. With the starring feature, "Only the Brave," there are "The Glow Worm," that fascinating melody made into a song cartoon: a dramatic sketch entitled "Typical Types," a talking news of the world, and an operatic solo by Tito Schipa, the Italian tenor, as well as other numbers, musical or dramatic, "Only the Bravo" is an original story for tho screen, played by a company headed by Mary Brian, Gary Coopor, and Philip Holmes, three young types who aro seen to adTantago in this picturesque and gallant romance of love and war in the Stato of Virginia during the Civil War. Miss :iary Brian is cast as a lady of Virginia who defies her caste and throws in her lot with « Northern spy. Gary Cooper createa an even greater disturbance by seeking a quixotic death at every turn, for all the belles of tho South could not compensate for tho treachery of his false Northern love. But Mary Brian had no use for the lanky spy dead; so she plots to save him from her Confederate compatriots, and also plots to win his adamant heart. She does both, for she is disarmingly subtle and demure, and Gary Cooper is but a man. "Only the Brave" is n finely-tempered romance of fair women and brave men, is treated for the screen with admirable spirit and feeling, is staged against onchanting backgrounds, is beautifully acted, the lineß spoken with soft Southern speech.
