HARRIERS' SPORTS.
RUGBY PARK MEETING. The Christchurcb harrier clubs combined on Saturday in running an athletic sports meeting at Rugby Park. There was a good gathering of members, and competition was keen. Results were:—
SENIOR EVENTS. 100 Yards Scratch. E. R. Simpson (Baptist) ... 1 L. E. Smith (Christchurch) ... 2 J. Farthing (Christchurch) 3 Simpson led after the first 25yards, and won easily Time 11 l-ssec.
440 Yards Scratch. E. R. Simpson (Baptist) ... 1 L. E. Sriith (Christchurch) ... 2 i L. G. VSllis (Christchurch) ... 3 Willis lea at the start, but Simpson and Smith came to the front in the straight Simpson winning over the last few yards. One Mile. A. D. Park (Baptist) ... 1 C. F. Jones (Baptist) ... 2 F. H. Cookson (Christchurch) 3 Park won easily bv twenty yards. Half-Mile Walk, Scratch. C. F. Jones (Baptist) ... 1 C. W. Clark (Christchurch) 2 F. H. Cookson (Christchurch) 3 Won easily. Jones took the lead early, and drew well away from the rest of the field. JUNIOR EVENTS. • 100 Yards Scratch. C. R. Hervey (Christchurch) 1 L. C.
