AMBULANCE BRIGADE.
WORK OF THB WEEK. The No. 3 Ambulance Division met on Thursday evening at the brigade rooms in Gloucester street. There was a record attendance ot 40 members on parade. A number ol uaval cadets from the Sea Cadets *.yorph were also present by invitation.and iJr. F J. Borrie, Assistant Commisbioner, gave an interesting talk on "Safety first,' whuh was followed by a concluding address on the treatment of fractures. At the conclusion of the oieeting the speaker was accorded a vote of thanks. Arrangements are now well m hand tor the annual corps competitions, which take place on Saturday next at the King Edward Barracks. Altogether there are nine separate events .4ix of these are individual, while the remaining three are for squads each insisting of four members, one of whom will act as leader Entries have been received from the following Divisions: First Canterbury No 3 Cadet. No, 3 Men's, Christchurcb Nursing Beckenham Nursing, Selwyn Nursing, and No. 1 Girl Guide Nursing. Most of those Divisions have entered more than one team, and individual events have been particularly well filled. The judges are supplied from officers of the •It. John District and Corps. The weekly meeting of the Christ ■hurcb Nursinp Division was held last Mondav nieht the Lady Superintendent. Mr*.
