YESTERDAY'S TRANSACTIONS. Markets generally were weaker on call yesterday and apart from gold mining stocks, of low valuo, the recorded turnover was small. Transactions, exclusive of vestibule business, included:— £SOO Timaru Borough 5 per cent., 1935 (late sale, 17th). £SOO New Zealand Refrigerating 6J per cent , 1935. 100 Australian Bank of Commerce. 100 Commercial Bank of Australia. 10 Bank of New South Wales. 143 United Building Society (cum div.). 100 Feilding Gas. 300 British Tobacco (cum div.). 50 New Zealand Breweries. 100 Mt. Lyell. 100 Now Zealand Farmers' Co-op (JOs, paid). 4000 Mahakipawa Goldfields. 1000 Stbuey Creek (6d paid;. A lata sale on the 17th instant of Tjmaru Borough 5 per cent. 1935 Debentures was reported at £96 2s 6d. New Zealand Refrigerating 6J per cent. 1935 Debentures changed hands at £95. Australian Bank of Commerce shares weakened to 19s Bd, and there were further unsupported sellers at 19s 7d. Commercial Bank of Australia shares dropped to 17s 2d. sellers staying in at that price, buyers at 17s. Bank of New South Wales shares recovered to £3l. closing quotations £3l buyers, £3l 5s sellers. National Bank of New Zealand shares were weaker, with sellers at £5 12s 6d, buyers at £5 10s. Bank of New Zealand shares declined to sos 3d sellers, 54s 6d buyers. Goldsbrough, Morts eased to 21s sellers, 20s buyers. United Building Society shares were firm at 16s 6d, closing quotations 3d on either side. Sellers of Westport Coal Company shares reduced their limits to 30s, buyers at '29s 3<J. Buyers of Christchurch Gas shares raised their bids to 24s lid, selbTfl at 25s 2d. Feilding Gas shares remained at 3s. Now Zealand Breweries shares dropped to 47s 7d, market closing 47s Cd buyers, 47s 7d sellers. British lolacco shares were firm at 32s (Wednesday's closing prices), and more were wanted at 31s lid. sellers at 32s 3d. Dunlop Perdriau Rubber shares, cum dividend of 3 per cent., were weaker, with sellers at Us 4d. buyers at 10s lid. Mt. Lyells realised 20s 2d. closing quotations 20s Id sellers. 19s fid buyers. Mnhakipawn Goldfields shares were active at 5Jd and sd, market closing 5d hovers, H\ sellers. Stoncy Creek 6d paid shares realised Id and there were further buyers at ljd, sellers at 2d. Winding Creek Is paid shares were stronger, with buyers nt 4d, sellers at Bd.
