MeCombs (Lab., Lyttelton) gave notice of intention to introduce the City of Christchurch Electric Power and Loan Empowering Amendment Bill. LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL. (press association tbltsobam.) . WELLINGTON, September 18. The Legislative Council met at 2.30 p.m. to-day. The Unemployment Bill was reported from the Labour Bills Committee without amendment. The Leader of the Council, the Hon. E. Masters, asked that the second reading stage of the Bill should be proceeded with immediately, but objection was raised to this course, and the second reading stage was deferred until Tuesday. At 2.35 p.m. the Council adjourned till Tuesday.
