AN INVOLVED CASE.
I ALL JUDGES TO SIT AT | HEARING. (j>RM» KSSOCIkIIOS TELBQHAU.) WELLINGTON, September 18. Under the Judicature Amendment Act, 1913, it was provided that the first and second divisions of the Appeal Court should sit and exercise their 'jurisdiction separately, except by special order of the Governor-General. In July, however, certain legal questions in the Supreme Court trial of; Alfred Edward Storey, on a charge of manflaughter, and an offence against Section 27 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1924, were referred to the first division of the Appeal Court, which is to sit .on September 24th. The Chief Justice, Sir Michael Myers, and Mr Justice Keed Have now recommended that the points at issue are of such importance and difficulty that they have recommended •the. Governor-General to authorise that both divisions should sit together. Notice is given in the Gazette tonight that the Governor-General has issued such order, and both divisions will sit together as indicated for this case.
