PIONEER SPORTS CLUB. FIXTURES September 27th—Pillion, Side-car, and Light Car Non-stop Social Reliability Trial. October 4th—Sporting events, Show Grounds. October 12th—Opening run, Waihora Park. October 18th—Beach Raceß, North Brighton. On Saturday afternoon, September 27th, the Pioneer Sports Club will hold a non-stop social reliability trial for pillion, side-car, and light cart up to 12,000 c.c, which should prove both interesting and enjoyable, and will doubtr less attract large entries. The course will be from the Club House, vi% Gloucester street, Fitzgerald avenue, and Ferry road to Sumner, thenco via Evans Pass, Lyttelton, Teddington, and Gebbie's Pass, to Waihora Park, Motukarara, where a halt will bo called for afternoon tea, when the competitors and officials will be the guests of the Club. On the return journey the route will be along the foot of Gebbie's Pass, via Governor's Bay, and Dyer's Pass to the Club House, by way of Colombo stroet, Brougham street, Durham street, and Oxford terrace. Motor-cycjes and side-cars are to averago 25 m.p.h. over the whole course, whilst the light cars will do likewiso excopt from Sumner to a "Check" at the foot of the hill, a distance of 17$ miles, where the average speed must be 20 m.p.h. on the outward journey, and on the return from the white rock at foot of Gebbie's Pass to the Club House, 20 m.p.h. The following distance table should be of assistance to those competing.

White Rock on right, 26.5 miles. Park Gate, Waihora, 29.7 miles. Waihora Park toWhite Rock, 3.2 miles. Bridge foot Gebbie's Pass, 8.4 miles. Gebbie's Pass, 4.4 miles. Wheat Sheaf Hotel, 6.5 miles. Allandale Beach, 9.3 miles. Governor'B Bay School, 10.6 miles. Governor's Bay Hotel, 10.8 miles. Club House, 19.5 miles. Competitors will be dispatched at i minute intervals, the first leaving at 12.15. All must be on the mark at 2 p.m. sharp. Conditions are available at the office iof the Club. At the Show Grounds tomorrow* (Saturday) afternoon the club will hold a full dress rehearsal of the sporting events to be provided as preliminaries to the finish of the Waimate-Christ-church road race set down for October 4th, so that there should bo no hitch or delays in unfurling its programme which promises to be of much interest. Intending competitors are asked to bo at the Show Grounds at 2.15 for this purpose.
