——♦ recent activities. The British and Foreign Bible Society report statei that the annua! meeting of the Kaiapoi Branch was held on Wednesday, September 10th. The following officers were reappointed : —President, the Ilev. W. H. A. Vickery; secretary, Miss M. Cbilds. A new branch of the society has been formed at Ohoko, Mr Mervyn Ward has been appointed secretary and Mr E. T. Downs collector. Results of the annual collection are announced aa follows: —Bpreydon, £4O 14s 6d; LinWood, £5 lis lOd; St. Albans, £6O 4s 7d.
