RAILWAY APPEAL BOARD.
SITTING IN CHRISTCHURCH. Two appeals against dismissal from the Railway Department wore dealt with by tho Railway Appeal Board, which held a tatting in the Provincial Council Chambers vesterday. A third appellant did not proceed with bis claim for reinstatement. Mr J. G. L. Hewitt, S.M., was chairman. Mr J. R. Robertson represented the Department, Mr J. Picltup the stores branch of the service, and Mr E. Cameron tho Workshops Branch. Mr M. Dcnnehy, assistant general manager, appeared for the Department and Mr L. Mcllvride, general secretary of tho A.S.R.S., for the appellants. Decision was reserved. Tho Boarq will resume ita sitting this morning.
