RAILWAY WORKERS.
DISPUTE WITH DEPARTMENT. (FBK3S ASBOCU.TZOX TIUEOBUC.) NAPIER, May 80. Work on the Kotemaori tunnel on the East Coast railway line about 30 miles from Napier is held up through, a dispute between the tunnellers at the north end and the Public Works Department. It is understood the trouble has been caused through the employment of a man who was once injured on railway construction work, iind was paid compensation by the Department Pumping operations have ceased, aud the tunnel -is said to be in danger of flooding unless the trouble; is soon settled The resident engineer of the Department declines to discuss the matter, evidently oonsider>ng it a question for the Minister for Public Works.-
