Official notification has been received: at Tokio from Nanking that the Government has issued instructions to stop and search the vessels of every nationality while proceeding to or leaving Tientsin, and to confiscate arms and munitions, which are considered to be contraband. Tokio officials foresee a complicated international situation in 'the event or such orders being carried out. GOVERNMENT CLAIMS VICTORIES. SHANGHAI, May 13. The Nanking Government claim three important victories, in that it has broken the rebels' line north of Anhwoi, is advancing towards Honan Province, and has captured Pochow, a strategic point north of Anhwei. A report from the Shantung battlefront states that tho rebels attacked and were repulsed with severe losses. What aro believed to be the decisive battles of tho present war aro being fought in tho vicinity of Hsuchow. Generals Feng Yu-hsiang and Yon Hstshan aro rushing all available troops to prevent the Government advance along the Lunghai railway. In the event of the rebels capturing Hsuehow the Government will faeo a serious situation President Chiang Kai-shek, therefore, is personally directing the operations, and it is believed he is dapable of resisting any Kuominchun attack.
