Panic prevails at Batißbon, in tTpper Silesia, following a series of baffling knife attacks on youthß, two of which have been fatal. People believe a "vampire" is at Work, as at Dusscldorf during the "Jack the Kipper" murders. There has been no attempt at robbery. In tho first case a boy of lb was found in the woods stabbed in the heart andneok, and then a young commercial traveller was taken to hospital with gashes in his body, the result of a ferocious attack. Ho reported that his assailant had suddenly jumped Upon him. finally, a. youthful tailor was found dead on Sunday morning close to the place where the schoolboy was killed a week before. Tho police have arrested a Ctfeeh named Hauser, who is alleged to have been in possession of a blood-stained dagger, but the public refuse to be calmed.
