In the Supreme Court, the Chief Justice admitted Joe Moon, a Maori, agfed; twenty-two, to-' probation for three years ort a charge of stealing a letter containing 6ix cheques to the value of £lOl. The conditions include making restitution at the rate of £4 6s 8d monthly, paying £1 Is expenses, and abstaining from liquor and keeping out of billiards saloons.
