WEDDINGS.

PICKERING—GRAHAM. At St. Luke's Church the marriage W as celebrated of Marjorie, only daughter of the late Mr and Mrs 6. Graham, and Lawrence, only son of Mr and Mrs A. J. Pickering, of St. Albans. The Ven. Archdeacon P. N. Taylor was the officiating minister, and Mr Lilley was organist for the occasion. The bride, who was given away by her brother, Mr Lindsay Graham, wore a beautifully cut ankle length princess gown of ivory crepe satin with square neck and long fitting sleeves pointed over the hands. Her plain tulle veil was arranged with a small wreath of orange blossom and fell to form a train. She carried a sheaf of deep cream carnations and roses with touches of palest pink. Miss Beryl Richards attended as bridesmaid wearing a model sleeveless frock of pale rose pink crepe moriel made with deep shoulder cape and flared skirt with uneven hem falling ankle-length at the sides. Her felt hat and satin shoes were of a deeper shade of rose and she carried a sheaf of roses and carnations of the two shades of rose. The bridegroom was attended by Mr Arthur Hope as best man. After the ceremony, Mrs M. Graham, the bride's grandmother, entertained a number of friends and relatives at the Winter Garden. The hostess wore a black silk marocain dress and handsome satin coat, black ostrich boa, and pretty black hat with white ospreys. Her bouquet was of roses and poppies of autumn tints. The bridegroom's mother wore a smart costume of black silk marocain and black satin hat. Her bouquet was of crimson roses and maidenhair When Mr and Mrs Lawrence Pickering left for their honeymoon, the bride was wearing a tailored suit of copper-beech brown facecloth with felt hat of the same shade and narrow stole of brown fitch fur.

FOREST—BEARDSMORE. At Wesley Church, Oamaru, the wedding took place recently of Ellen, youngest daughter of Mr and Mrs Abel Beardsmore, Reed street, to Alfred William, eldest son of Mr and Mrs A. C. Forest, of Derwent street. The Rev. 'Mr Harris performed the ceremony.

The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a pretty frock with satin beaute bodice and frilled georgette skirt. A tulle veil, embroidered with silk roses foremd a train and she carried a bouquet of pale pink and white roses. Miss Winnie Brown was bridesmaid, wearing a dainty frock of salmon pink satin trimmed with tulle and hat.of tulle to match. She carried a bouquet bf pale pink flowers. The bridegroom was attended by Mr J. M. Mitchell as best man.

The bride's mother wore a dress ot navy satin and lace and a navy blue hat and carried a bouquet or pink and white roses. Mrs Forest, mother of the bridegroom, wore a brown velvet frock with cream vest and a smart felt hat to match. Among those present were Mrs Edwards and Mrs Mathews, from Christchurch, Mrs Warwood and Mrs Held from Dunediu, and Mrs E. Beardsmore, of Greta street, sisters of the bride's mother. The bride has been head teacher at Ardgowan School for some time, and the children showed the esteem in which they held her by forming a guard of honour at. the, church and strewing the path with rose petals as the bride and bridegroom came out. The reception was held in the McLean Hall, where a largi number of guests were entertained. V The happy couple left later for Christchurch en route for Sydney and Melbourne, where they intend spending their honeymoon. Their future residence will be in Oamaru. In the evening a pleasant dance was held in the McLean Hall to conclude the festivities.

On her severing her connexion with Ardgowan School •the committee and residents presented the bride with a cheque. A "kitchen" evening party was also .held in the Ardgowan Hall, and was attended by guests from all parts of the district.

RAYMOND—WEBB. Both in Timaru|and Christchurch much kindly interest was evinced in the wedding, celebrated at St. Barnabas's Church, Fendalton, yesterday afternoon, when Barbara, only daughter of the late Mr W. J. Webb and of Mrs Webb, Fendalton, was married to Francis George, Macdonald,younger son of the late Mr F. A. Raymond and of Mrs Raymond, Beverley road, Timaru. The church was decorated with harvest gifts, Japanese maple, and hydrangeas; the Rev. F. B. Redgrave performed the ceremony, and Mr Arthur Merton was organist. The bride, who was escorted bv Mr T. Chapman, wore a beautiful Trock of silver brocaded tissue, with V-decol-lettage back and front softened with vestee of ivory pleated Brussels net, which also formed the long sleeves, while the skirt, falling in four points from a fitting hip-yoke, was finished with a deep anklejength pointed flounce of georgette and frilled net. From the shoulders, caught with two old paste buckles, valued possessions of the bride's family, fell the train of ivory shirred georgette, bordered with silver lace and embroidered in one corner with a silver rose. The tulle veil, which was held with two narrow circlets of orange-blossom buds, and the train were Tent by the bride's cousin, Mrs J. Ferrier! A note ot colour was introduced in the shower bouquet of pink roses and begonias. The two bridesmaids, Miss Margaret Webb and Miss Mary Campbell, cousins of the bride, wore attractive long-sleeved frocks of pink floral ninon, patterned in a deeper pink, green, and primrose, and made with V-neck lines, fitting hip-yokes and pointed skirts, each weighted at the hem with three frills. Their rosepink felt hats were banded with silver ribbon to match their shoes and they carried bouquets of pink and yellow roses. ' Mr Harold Coxhead,of Timaru, was best man, and Mr Pat Webb, the bride's brother, was groomsman. The wedding reception, at which relatives and a few very old friends were entertained, was held at the residence of Mr T. Chapman, Garden road, where the. reception rooms and the large marquee were decorated with hydrangeas, Michaelmas daisies, and dahlias Mrs Webb wore a frock of black marocain, the skirt being trimmed with diagonal .kilted flounces and the neck outlined with white georgette, which also lined the smart little tieends caught on one shoulder with a diamente buckle. She wore a black feather necklet and a black felt and velvet hat, with brilliant ornament in front, and carried a bouquet of mauve scabious. Mrs Raymond; the bridegroom's mother, wore a frock of dahlia-red georgette mounted on pale heliotrope, and a black hat finished with an aigrette. Her black Ottoman silk coat had collar and cuffs of mole fur and she carried a bouquet of dahlias. The bride'B travelling dress was of beech-brown crepe de chine, lightly Satterned in black and beige, with eep slanting rever outlined with a flat pleated frill to match the cuffs and the double frill on the wrap overskirt. Her brown, tweed coat was strapped with plain dark-brown cloth. and-her dark-brown felt hat was upturned in front.

McKAY—COATES. (SPECIAL TO TEX FMBS.) GBEYMOUTH, March 31. The wedding took place this morning at Holy Trinity Church of "Harriett Gertrude, only daughter of Mr and Mrs T. Eldon Coates, of Greymouth, to William Gordon, only son of the late Mr and Mrs W, McKay. Archdeacon J. A. Jermyn officiated. The bride wore a dress of golden brown ring velvet and hat to match, and carried a bouquet of autumn-tinted flowers. She was attended by Mrs B. Porter, of Wanganui, who wore an Indian red crepe de chine frock with felt hat and shoes of the same.shade. Mrs T. E. Coates, mother of the bride, wore . a nattier blue dress and blue hat, and Mrs Bussell, sister of the, bridegroom, wore reseda green crepe de chine with felt hat to tone.

Mr Richardson, of Christchurch, was best man. Mr and Mrs Coates held the wedding reception at their residence. Mr and Mrs McKay left later by-car on their honeymoon, Mrs McKay travelling in a beige suit with felt hat to match.
