WELLINGTON, March 31. "The public can rest .-assured there will be no avoidable delay in completing the work of the Special Committee on Education," said the Minister for Education (the Hon. H. Atmore),. to-day. The Minister said that the first section of the Committee's report was being prepared, and when the shorthand notes taken during the tour, whieh consisted largely of questions put to witnesses by the members of the Com: mittee, and the answers to them, had been transcribed the Committee would resume and the final recommendations would be made. The evidence taken by the Commitijee was voluminous, and the task of completing the report was a big one.
