SEAMEN IMPRISONED.

[tttr press Special Service.] WELLINGTON, March 31. Described as a "sea lawyer," Arthur Caddy, aged thirty-one, a fireman in the Raranga, put up a vigorous ddencd when he appeared in company with the ship's storeman, John David James Ware, aged thirty-two, on charges of embezzling goods at Picton. The Magistrate said that he was satisfied that the story was too thin and sentenced each man to three months' imprisonment.
