EVERYBODY'S, MONDAY. The management of Everybody's Theatre Rnnounces that in conjunction with the season of "The Pagan,'' the remarkable Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer production that has aroused no much favourbale comment wherever it has beon shown, Air W. Toomey, the Christchurch baritone, will appear on Everybody's stage nightly, singing "The Pagan Love Song, nir Tourney is a weil-known singer, with a happy 5... .e, and at the present time is in tine vo.cj. "The Love Song" suits his eupabUilius penectly. The picture itselt, "The i'agan," is trom tlie novel by John Russeli, and is a theme that scarcely flatters luuropeuu complacency; tor that reason it has hud a tremendous vogue with American and Jiuropenn audienceb, who experience a new emotion when ieeiing themse.ves flayed by the dramatist. Briefly, "The Pagan is the story of Henry Shoesmitli, jun. (the fugan played by Kauion Novarro), a haltcasio South Sea islander, his half-caste sweetheart, a, white adventuress, and a white trader.
"Wolves of the Underworld" is the second picture, a drama of the Continental underworld, and vastly and mercifully <l>f" ferent from the Chicago product. Having this new locale, it is full of unexpected situations, is admirab.y acted, succeeds in being artistic with its theme, and has a relieving, romantic interest. Imogcne Robertson ana Johannes Uiemann have the leads. Mr Albert Bidgood has arranged the following musical programme for the delect Orchestra:—Overture, "Nautical (Winter); suites, "The Knchanted Castle (Bowers), "Woodland Pictures" (Fletcher). "Romanesque" (Bes.ey), "Samoan I s ' e l( (Coats); selections, "Songs Without (Mendelssohn), "Hawaiian Melodies (Lake), "Phedre" (Massenet), "Spanish Serenade" (Ohaminade), "Sea H heen (Debussy), "Wai Loa" (Schoenfeld), By the Hawaiian Waters" (Ketelby) ; fox-trots, "Shoo, Shoo, Boogie Boo" (Ray Henderson), "Bimini Bay" (Whiting); entr'acte, ' Aloha Oe, Pagan Love Song" (Brown).
