SPORTS CARNIVAL.
ENGLISH PARK STADIUM
'J'ho Motor, Athletic, and Kovelty Sports Carnival to be controlled at English Park next Monday evening by the Pioneer Sports Club a body that has been promoting sport for the past fifty years with exceptional success gives every indication of a most successful issue; an attractive programme has. been that should appeal to all tastee, comprising light-oar and motorcvcle racing, in which all the riders of note will be competing; high bike rauing, in which more than one grandad will again try his speed with others of a later generation, some of the former being well over sixty summers; bicycle ateeplcchasing, that will call for daring; and pep. foot running, and a unique wheel medley competition, in which all classes of wheeled machines will be ridden or driven;, several obstacle races, and novelties galore. Splendid entfies have been receivod for all event*, the first of whioh will start at 8 o'clock, whilet the New Brighton Municipal Band will enlivan the proceedings with a popular programme of music. Special trams will run to the Park. With fine weather conditions there Bhould be a Lumper crowd present.
