TO THE EDITOB OF THE PRESS . Sir,—l would like to congratulate the Canterbury Aero Club on the efficiency of its methods. lam a visitor to the City, and wishing to make a flight approached the club's officials on duty on no less than five occasions during the last three days, ahso telephoned in between times, without any definite result, except - a tentative appointment in the nature of a request to telephone the Aerodrome this afternbon, when my final enquiry, just prior to leaving, proved entirely abortive. I don't want to go away without thanking the "club for their courteßy, and trusting that by these means it will be on a sound commercial footing in the near future, with such rousing business enterprise.—Yours,
February 13th, 1930. [When this letter referred to the secretary of the Canterbury Aero Club, Mr P. R. Climie, he stated that .the correspondent must he under a misapprehension. Firstly, the club' was not permitted to take visitors for passenger flights but only members of the Aero Club, and, secondly, no such request as stated was made to himself by any visitor on the days mentioned.]
