PLEA OF GUILTY.

CHARLES ROBERT GRAY FOR SENTENCE. REMANDED UNTIL TO-DAY. Charles Robert Gray appeared for trial at the Supreme Court yesterday morning before his Honour Mr Justice Adams. The Grand Jury returned a true bill against Gray, who was indicted on five counts a* follows, pleading 8 "(l) y: That on July 16th, 1929, he did attempt to murder Edward Hammond. (2) That, with intent to do grievous bodily harm to Hammond, he did do actual bodily harm to Hammond. (3) That-, with intent to resist lawful appfenhension, ho did discharge at Hammond a pistol loaded with destructive materials. . ~,.,. (4) That, with intent to facilitate the flight of an offender, to wit himself, upon the attempted commission of a crime, to wit theft, by violent means, ho rendered Hammond incapable of resistance. -,-,*. (5) 'That be assaulted Hammond, with intent to resist the lawful apprehension of himself, Charles Robert Gray. , ' Mr M. J. Burns appeared for Gray. His Honour: Does the accused plead guilty to all counts? Mr A.- T. Donnelly (Crown Prosecutor,) : The first count will be sufficient, your Honour. Mr Donnelly asked if it would be convenient for his Honour to deal with .Gray and his brother the next morning? • His Honour: Very well. Gray was remanded until 10.15 o'clock this morning.
