MAGISTERIAL. SATURDAY. (Before Mr E. D. Moslev, S.H.) DRUNKENNESS. Mary Agnes Vaughan was fined 20s and cost*, in default 48 hours' imprisonment, for being found drunk in Moorhouse avenue. MOTORIST FINED. James Kenneth McKeon was fined £2 and costs for driving a car at a speed dangerous to the public, and 10s and costs for having no license. SERIOUS CHARGE. Arthur Albert Ksrridge (Mr E. S. Bowie) was charged with unlawfully carnally knowing a girl of fifteen. He was remanded til) to-morrow. Bail was allowed. MAINTENANCE ARREARS. Fluris Alphonse de Chateau (Mr D. W. Russell) was charged with being- £\ss in arrears on a maintenance order in respect to hia wife. H<- : was sentenced to three months' imprisonment with hard labour, warrant to be suspended ao long as be pays £1 a v,-«ek rr.aintenance for his wife and 2s 6d a week off the arrears. Ho was ordered to find security to the extent of £IOO that he would comply with the order. He wa« allowed a week to find this, provided that he report® daily in porsoh to the Maintenance Officer. Air L. >V. Gee appeared for complainant. CHILDREN'S COURT. (Before Mr H. P. Lawry. 8.M., and Mr W. M. West. J.P.) Three indigent children were committed to the care of the State. A lad, aged 14, charged with converting a bicycle to his own use, and two other boys, who were said to be out of control, were committed to the care of the Child Welfare Offlcer. A lad aged 14 was admonished and di»charged for riding on the footpath.
