ESSAY COMPETITION
(TSOM Of* OWN COBMSSPONDENT.) LONDON, December 23. The Imperial Studies Committee of the Koval Empire Society has arranged the 1930 essav competition, which is open to the children of British subjects in any part of the Empire, and though not necessarily confined to those attending schools, is primarily designed to encourage Imperial studies in the schools of the Empire. In 1929 there were some thousands of competitors in Britain, the Dominions and colonies. The subjects for next year's competition are as follows: Class A, for those over 16 and under 19 years of age "Britain in the Pacific—Past, Present, and Future"; class B, 14 to 16 years, "Great Seaports of the Empire"; la . ss C, "The Story of the Canadian KaUways.' *
