SCHOOLS* CAMP AT RESOLUTION BAY. The camp of 50 boys from the Schools l>epartTi)enfc of Toe H was held on Sir Beaton Rhodes'* estate at Resolution Bay. Picton. from January Ist to 16th. The boys were drawn from Wellington College, Scots College, Wellesley College, Rongotai College, and the Salvation Army, Presbyterian, and Anglican orphanages. Mr A. B. Maylon was camp commandant and was assisted by Dr. r. XT. Kemp, and Mr D. Turnbull, of Christchureh, was quartermaster, the Revs. F. W'atson (Khandallah} and J.
Whitby Jaines (Timarn) were the padres. Church services wer© held each Sunday, an' old tramway bell being used as the church hell. Thi* is said to have l>een the first ocf&vmn that a church bell has f>een heard iu the Si>ll n(is outbid© of Picton. The camp was purely a holiday one and the commissariat was run by dividing the camp into four aections, each section taking turn about. A feature of the canjp was tho launch trips. Two lx>ats wore at the disposal of the hov>, who naturally made tho most of them. A had storm was experienced during the camp and Mr Barker, Sir bfealon Rhodes'# manager, put the vooUhcd at the disposal of th« ramper* till th» storm was over
