RAILWAY LINE DAMAGED.
TORRENTIAL RAINS IN CENTRAL AUSTRALIA. (UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION —BY ELECTRIC TELEGRAPH —COPYRIGHT.) MELBOURNE, December 30. Further reports of rains in Central Australia shows that washaways at intervals extending over 450 miles of the railway have made services impossible, all connexion with settlements having been severed. Torrential rains caused floods unparalleled in the history of the railway. At Moree, the foundation of the line was washed away for several miles and many bridges hare been destroyed.
