MAIREHAU SPORTS CLUB. TU«: annual meeting of the Mairehau Sports Club was held last night, the president (Mr W. J. Walter) presiding over a attendance of members. The balance-sheet, showing receipts £199 12a Id and expenditure £l5O 10a Id, leaving a credit balance of £lO 2s Id, was adopted. Messrs J. H. Parson (secretary) and P C. Lucas (treasurer) were thanked for the valuabiu service* rendered by them during the season. Officers were appointed t.e follows: Patron, Mr J. Blades; president, Mr W. J. The Management Committee was given power to arrange for two sports meetings within the next few weeks. A sub-committee consisting of Messrs Lagan, McKaskell, and Parsons were appoints to arrange a stall for a fete to be held at Mairebau on February Stb, in aid of the Mairehau Hall funds. Mr Scuflell gave a cup for the ciub member who gained most points in road races held by the club, the eeason to conclude two weeks before the Timaru to Christchurch road race. Mr Hack gave a cup for the member of the c'.ub who secures fastest time unplaced in rif.c3 held by the club during the season. It was decided to provide a medal for j the rider who registers fastest time and ■ breaks the existing record from the Christ- I church Post Office to Governor's Bay an<t I leiMrn. * ] Mr Walter pave a medal for derby rideis. It was decided to hold a road race over a thirteen mile course on December 2nd. Tim cups and mean's for the past season will be presented to the winners in the I Mairehaa Hall after the race. j Messrs W. J. Walter and P. C.
