RAILWAY SERVANTS PROTEST.
WAGES CUTS NOT RESTORED; (PBES3 ASSOCIATION TIUtGKAM.) HAMILTON, November 24. The Frankton branch of the Amalgamated Society of Hailway Servants passed a resolution expressing the keenest resentment at Parliament's refusal to grant "long-overdue advances in pay, especially to basic wage-earnera." The resolution expresses the opinion that the reasons given for withholding the restoration of the wages and salaries cutß apply equally to the remuneration of members of Parliament, which was substantially increased. LABOUR PARTY'S ACTION APPROVED. (PRKBS ASSOCIATION TSLEGHAM.) NAPIER, November SJ. At an extraordinary meeting of the Napier section of the Post and Telegraph Officers' Association toe following resolution was carried: "That this meeting, after hearing Mr Barnard's explanation, is satisfied that the action of the Labour Party during the discussion on the public service salarv schedules, was the best in the interests of the service and the country as a whole. - '
