CAPTAIN R. F. SCOTT.
LETTER TO HIS WIDOW. (UNITED TRESS ASSOCIATION— BT ELECTKIO TELEGHAPH—COPTBIGHT.) LONDON, November 22. An hitherto unpublished letter from Captain Robert Falcon Scott, addressed "To my widow," is included in the life of the explorer by Stephen Gwynn, which has been published by John Lane. The letter, which was written when Scott was awaiting death, said: — "If anything happens to me, I should like you to know how much you've meant to me, and what pleasant recollections are with me as I depart. I. want you to take the whole thing sensibly, as I am sure you will. The boy will be your comfort. You know I cherish no sentimental rubbish about re-marriagc. When the right man comes to help you in life you ought to be your own happy self again." His widow is now Lady Hilton Young.
