AMBULANCE CHARGES.
INFECTIOUS DISEASE CASES. The South New Brighton Progress League decided on Tuesday night to endorse tlic following resolution from the Spreydon Burrows' Association : "That we are of the opinion that m the interest of public health all infectious disease cases should be conveyed to the hospital free of charge, the cost t0 borne h - v th " health authorities." The Spreydon Burgesses' Association's letter "stated that a resident in Sprevdnn had complained that he had been chareed £1 4 s for having his child taken m the ambulance to Bottle Lake. The Association thought that the charge was raib.fr hisrh and was bringing the case under the League's notice with a view to obviating anv comr>!n:tit* of a similar nature in the future. Mr A. Hu'me moved that th-» . endorse the Spreydon Association's motion and that a Wter to thi~ effect be tor warded to the Hospital Board. The motion was carried" unanimously.
