Woodward. •S.M.) committed accused for trial, remarking that accused made representations concerning the operations of two companies, Quarterly Dividenus and National House Purchase, and processes by which dividends were produced. The false pretence con.-isted 111 representations that tlrese operation* were capable of continuing in the future for any considerable period to produce substantial benefits to the contributors, which acciiw-d promised. Accused, who nleaded not guilty, was admitted to bail of £2OO.
