THE PRINCE OF WALES.
WHY HE DOES NOT MARRY. HIS OLD FASHIONED BELIEFS. (UKITKD TRESS ASSOCIATION —BT BLECTBIO TELEOEAFB COPTBIOHT.) (Received September 26th, 11.30 p.m.) LONDON, September 26. The question why the Prince of Wales never marries is frankly answered in the new biography of the Prince published to-day. The authors are brothers, Messrs W. and L. Townsend, who had the assistance of the Prince's private secretary, Sir Godfrey Thomas, who read the manuscript, which he passed with only a few minor , cuts and who also supplied a great deal of extra material which lie incorporated into the finished book. * The following passage strikingly reveals why the Prince of Wales is still a bachelor: "It is not easy to define his Royal Highness's outlook on marriage. It is certain he regards the sanctity of marriage bo seriously that he won't be thrust into a marriage of convenience. "Retaining the best and so-called 'old-fashioned' beliefs in his creed of modernity, the Prince is a firm disciple of the belief that it is useless to marry without love. Because he has not yet experienced love in its true intensity, the Prince does not get married, and that is all there is to it."—United Service, THE PRINCE'S PILOT. R.A.F. RESERVIST APPOINTED. For the past six months Mr Fielden has been employed as personal pilot to Captain Guest, chairman of the National Flying Services Company. They only recently returned from an air trip to Africa.
