ART GALLERY.
ARCHITECT TO VISIT CHRISTCHURCH.
Some time ago a cablegram was sent to Mr E. W. Armstrong, the winner of the design for the new Art Gallery, asking him if he would be able to come to Christchureh to superintend the drawing of the plans, a reply being received that he was at present engaged at Rangoon on work that would occupy him for some three or four months.
Another message was cabled to Mr Armstrong, asking him if he could arrange to visit Christchurch after his engagement, and If so how long the work of preparing the drawings would occupy. A reply was received yesterday by the Town Clerk (Mr J. 8. Neville) stating that Mr Armstrong would be able to come here after his sojourn in Bangoon, and that the work of preparing the drawings would take him about twelve to fifteen weeks to complete.
