SOCIAL AND PERSONAL. Miss Betty Murray, "Braemar," Is expected to arrive to-morrow to stay with Mrs J. Scott, Cannington. Mrs R. Hunter-Weston, "Highthorne," has returned from a visit to Dunedin. Mrs W. H. Helmore, "Koromiko," Wai-iti road, has returned from the Hermitage, Mount Cook. Mr and Mrs W. Thomas, North street, have returned from a visit to Waimate. Mrs F. Dunnage, Christchurch, who has been the guest of Mrs J, D. H. Buchanan, Otipua road, has returned home. Mrs G. W. Morrison, Branscombe street, who has been spending a few days in Fairlie, has returned home. Mrs W. Fea, Elizabeth street, left yesterday on a short visit to Christchurch. Miss Howell, who has been staying with Mrs R. F. Hill, Mere Mere street, has returned to Geraldine. Miss Ulrich, who has been the guest of Miss Nancy Orbell, "The Croft," Park lane, has returned to Dunedin. Mrs W. Raymond, Park lane, who has been spending a holiday at Moeraki, has returned home. Mr and Mrs M. Barker are the guests of Mrs B. H. Tripp, "Orielton," Gleniti. Mr G. Jones, who has been the guest of Mr and Mrs E. Jones, Otiritiri, has returned to Lincoln. Miss Betty Giles, who has been the guest of Mrs Gladstone Robinson, left yesterday for ■ Christchurch, accompanied by Miss Joyce Jones, Otiritiri. Messrs E. Bates (Christchurch) and A. Preston are staying at the Dominion Hotel. Miss Lassie Stoddart has returned to Christchurch. Miss K. Joins has left for Auckland.
