Yn occasion which will be unique in the radio-broadcasting activity the world over will be the broadcasting from IYA, Auckland on September 20fch, of a concert transmitted from the "Cathedral" Chamber in the Waitomo Cave. The arrangements for this are in the hands o£ the Radio Broadcasting Co. of N. 55., Ltd. _ Those who have been privileged to visit tlia Waitomo Caves will not quickly forget the "Cathedral." one of the most impressive spectacles of the many which are to be seen in the visits to the Waitomo Caves. Reached bv a long descent into the bowelg of the earth, the Cathedral,, with its massive dome and remarkable acoustic properties, is a magnificent cavern 60 feet in height, t!ia walls, roof, and floor of which can he faced faithfully in the limestone formations the five orders of architecture. It i- a very large chamber, capable of holding l'ar"e congregation.
