CANTERBURY COLLEGE STEEPLECHASE. Forty-four competitors faced the starter la the Canterbury College annual steeplechase, which was held at Hoon Hay «n Saturday afternoon. The race, which started from Mr Cracroft Wilson's residence, was orer a course of five miles. R. B. Schnls ran an excellent race, and led the fleld home, his time being 40min 40see. Fastest time went to R. M. Barrer, who covered the journey in 34min 40sec. The following are the first ten competitors in the order that they finished:Min. See. B. B. Schnlz (hep. B|min) .. 40 40 D.
