TO-NIGHT'S MEETING.

The following matters will be considered at the Council meeting to be held to-night:—

The report of the Jury of Award in connexion with the Art Gallery competition.

The eonsideration of the proposed amendments to the Slaughtering and Inspection Act with regard to fees. Tenders for two motor mowers and one horse-mower.

A report of damage to trees at the Lyndhurst reserve. Tenders for printing the Tear Book. Consideration of the draft agreement with the Bawhiti Domain Board in connexion with the Municipal golf links. An application from the Beckenham Library Committee for assistance in connexion with the establishment of a library. An application for permission to erect shops at the oorner of Aldwin's road and Canftl Reserve.

An application for permission to crest a shop with a Barrow frontage in Colombo street, Bydenham. An application for the erection of a petrol 6tor<> at 87 Tuam street. The City Engineer's report concerning a number of unemployed men on relief works.

The proposed special loan for tootpaths and channelling in the Beeken-ham-Fisherton district.

The tenders for the supply of an aircompresser and fittings for the quarry. Tenders for plastering and the construction of balusters for the wall of the Band Botunda.

Tenders for the supply of throe petrol trucks.
