Bu: I think it is a matter that requires attention. —Yours, etc., DISAPPOINTED BENEFICIAEY. Chriitehurch, September 13th. 1929. SUMNER BATHING POOL. to ma asiToa op tub fuss Sir,—Will the fall of rock that occurred on the Sumner road this morning, near the proposed Bathing Pool, and which held up so many vehicles, but most fortunately caused no fatal accident, he sufficient to induce thq Mayor and Couneil to abandon the proposed idea of a swimming pool in this position! Surely a position that has during the last 20 years had such serious falls of rock as the one experienced to-day, and one at an earlier date which caused the Tramway Board to take action and construct a Causeway at a considerable cost, to remove their lines from this dangerous position, would be sufficient to let the Mayor and Council see how dangerous this road is. There is no question but that efforts should be put forward for the road to be immediately proceeded with alongsido the tramway lines, or are the Mayor and Council waiting for someone to be killed before they will be impressed with the unsuitabllity of thui position for a Bathing Pool.—Yours, etc., INTERESTED.
