OWNERS REFUSE TO MEET MINERS. (UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION—»T ELECT-810 TELEGRAPH -COPTBIOHT.) (Received September 13th, 7.10 p.m.) LONDON, September 13. The miners' executive has invited the owners to reconsider their refusal to agree to a national joint meeting. They urged that it is necessary in view of the termination of agreements, and pending legislation affecting all sections of the industry Mr A. J. Cook, in a statement, said the executive was firm for a national agreement. Tho "Daily Herald" says that unless the owners agree the Government will ■he urged to ensure a meeting.—Australian Press Association-
