Harbour Light Theatre. "The Loves of Carmen," starring: Dolores j Bel Rio and Victor McLaglen, and "The Great Well," a drama of Africa, with an all-star cast, will be repeated at the Harbour Light Theatre to-night. To-morrow, "The Student Prince," featuring Ramon Novarro, will be screened, together with a comedy, Oswald cartoon, and a gazette. Fire Brigade. At the meeting of the Council on Monday night, Cr. Sutton drew attention to the excellent work of the Lyttelton Volunteer Fire Brigade at the fire in Cunningham terrace on Friday. It was the first fire since the new Superintendent, Captain _R. Carson, had been appointed, and the Brigade showed a high state of efficiency in dealing with the outbreak. The motor, fully manned, had climbed the very steep grade of the Bridle Path in good time. Cr. McDonald said the quick arrival of the Brigade was also largely due to there being an alarm box handy. The newly installed alarm system had already proved its worth. The Scouts. The Lyttelton Scouts celebrated the twenty-first anniversary of the inauguration of the Boy Scouts by a display of work given by the Scouts and Wolf Cubs. There was a large attendance of parents and friends. The parade state was over 30, Scoutmaster T. Perry being iu charge, with Mate J. Huston in charge of the Sea Scouts. Cluh Mistress A. Wilson was in charge of the Wolf Cubs. They were assisted by Assistant Scoutmaster Jack Wyatt and Assistant-Club Master David Lester. The Scouts marched past and saluted the flag, and later gave rallies. The Cubs gave the Grand Howl. The visitors were also entertained with folk-dances and games by the Cubs. The Scouts also gave a veryfine fire demonstration. After the display the Scout Committee entertained the bojrs and visitors at afternoon tea, a feature of which was a two-decker birthday cake, bearing twenty-one candles. The cake was cut by the youngest Wolf Club, Andrew Steehman. Short addresses were given by the eha ; rman (Mr W. T. Lester), the Mayor (Mr W. T. Foster), the Rev. F. Tylee, and Mr M. ,T Miller, and the proceedings were coniluded with cheers for the Chief Scout, Lord Baden-Powell. Those present included the Mayor (Mr W. T. Foster) and Mrs Foster. Mr and Mr; W. T. Lester, the Rev. F. Tylee, Mr and Mrs \ McDonald. Mr and Mrs G. Lester Mesdames A. Clow. Nystram. Schenkel. Steere, Perry. Williams. E. Lester. Messrs M. J. Miller, and W. Newton. An apology was received from the captain of the Lyttelton Girl Guides, Miss Maxwell.
