ELLESMERE SUB-ASSOCIATION. The following team has been selected to represent the Ellesmere Women's Hookey Sub-Association in a match against the Ashburton Sub-Association at Leeston next Saturday:— Goal, E. High School B forfeited to Brookside B, and High School B and Southbridge B have adjusted their two games by each side forfeiting one. WELLINGTON, August 6. At a meeting of the New Zealand Ladies' Hockey Association held to-night it was stated that 14 teams have entered for tho New Zealand tourney to be held at Gisborne, commencing on August 29th. The following are the entries and sections allotted:—Section A: Southland, Poverty Bay A, Rotorua, Ruahine, Bush, Auckland A, South Canterbury. Section B: Canterbury, Wellington, Eastern, Auckland B, Poverty Bay B, Wairarapa, Hawke's Bay B. During the tourney a North v. South Island match will be played, and should time permit a Maori v. Pakeha match. The selectors of the New Zealand teams for Africa will also be present at the tournai ment. Miss H. A. Kitto (Wellington) has been appointed New Zealand representative |at the tournament. The selectors will be announced on August 20th.
