QUESTION IN THE HOUSE. [THE PRESS Special Berries.] WELLINGTON. August 6. The petrol blaze in Christchurch formed the basis of a notice of question in the House to-day, when Mi H. T Armstrong (Christchurch East) gave notice to ask the Minister for Interna] Affairs (Mr P. A. de la Perrelle) (1) Whether, in view of the explosions that have been taking place in Christchurch since last Thursday, and are still continuing, as a result of a fire in a petrol store, he will introduce legislation this session preventing local bodies from granting permits for petrol stores to be erected in residential areas? (2) Whether the Minister will also mJ }k e provision in such legislation compelling local bodies to set aside dangerous goods areas for such purposes p-nd to prevent such goods from stored in large quantities outside of such areas?
